Young at heart.
A senior health check for the pets who haven’t realised they’re getting older.
Your dog or cat might still be happy, active and completely themselves. But as pets get older, changes can start on the inside long before there are any obvious signs on the outside.
That’s why we’ve created Young at Heart: a special senior health check for dogs and cats aged 8 and over, available throughout October and November.
What’s included
Every Young at Heart check includes a senior blood test and a full health check consultation. You can also add a urine test for just £9. It’s normally £60.
A proper check, nose to tail
During the consultation, we’ll give your pet a thorough examination, including their:
- Heart
- Teeth and mouth
- Weight and body condition
- Joints and mobility
- Lumps and bumps
- Eyes and ears
- General senior health
It’s a chance to look at the whole pet, not just their blood results.
Why check if they seem perfectly well?
Because pets can’t always tell us when something has started to change.
They can tell us when they want dinner. They can tell us when they want a walk. They can certainly tell us when you’re five minutes late with breakfast.
But they can’t tell us when something inside isn’t working quite as well as it used to. Blood and urine tests give your vet a clearer picture of your pet’s health, and can pick up changes before they become obvious at home.
Still themselves. Just a little older.
Grey hairs, slower mornings and an extra nap don’t mean your pet feels old. Many of our senior patients are every bit as enthusiastic, mischievous and full of character as they’ve always been.
Young at Heart is simply a chance to make sure everything on the inside is keeping up with the pet you know and love.
Book their Young at Heart check.
For dogs and cats aged 8 and over, during October and November. £90, or £99 with a urine test (normally £60).
